SUPPORT GROUPS
The San Diego LGBT Center offers a wide array of support groups in response to the needs of our varied communities. Some support groups are peer-led, while others are facilitated by Behavioral Health Services staff counselors and counseling interns. The Center’s support groups are a great way for community members to connect with others who are experiencing similar challenges, and who can therefore relate, empathize and problem-solve grounded in real-life experience. Participating in support groups can reduce feelings of despair, frustration, fear or loneliness, and increase a sense of safety, belonging, empowerment and esteem.
The Center’s programs address specific issues that affect various segments of our LGBTQ community. Below find a calendar of Center programs and you can search for one that is right for you. Further below, find printable monthly calendars for each group.
