Senior Services

Isolation can be a relentless enemy to LGBTQ seniors, but those who find their way to The Center find powerful allies.  The Center provides a community of new friends for seniors. The peer group is aimed for LGBTQ community members 50 and older, many looking for something new and challenging, and find it here.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of The Center’s services are virtual. Please reach out to or 619.354.6887 for specific information during this time, or see calendar below.

Engagement opportunities include Lunch and Learn programs with speakers on variety of topics, card parties, game days, discussion groups and coffee chats, peer groups, health and fitness classes, a Senior Advisory Committee, and more. All are currently taking place virtually.

HIV Testing & Education

The Center’s Sexual Health & Wellness program offers rapid HIV testing for individuals and couples, prevention support, healthcare linkage, education and resource referrals. We utilize 4thGen rapid testing technology using the Determine HIV-1/2 antibody/antigen test and offer enrollment in the UCSD Early Test study which can detect acute (very early stage) HIV infection as soon as one week after potential exposure.
